Are you feeling lost and frustrated when searching for an answer to your specific questions? Whatever it is, choosing a comfortable stroller for your kid or even changing a job, there is still so much information out there on the Internet. Well, I’ve created this shortcut to help you find the best content answers, saving your time and effort.
Tip 1. The 10-Minute Rule.
I take ten minutes whenever I set out any plan whether teach myself another bunch of SEO things, spend a day off with my family, or buy a pair of winter shoes. The best way I know how to get started is by writing down my thoughts:
My mind races with many ideas but then I focus on what matters, which is writing them down into words or on paper before they disappear.
Once I have these thoughts in front of me, one of two things will always happen: either I’ll feel better because all of them have been gathered together in one place, or maybe there will be some clarity and I can move forward from now on.
I follow the 10-minute rule when
🚩starting to tackle any task: search for a new job; for new shoes or goggles for my kid. I sit down, take 10 minutes to write down my main thoughts and the actions I’m going to take.
🚩 teaching myself new things like SEO. It takes me a minimum of 10 minutes to scroll down a Twitter feed, answer questions on Quora, learn recent news on the topic and keep myself informed. The next day, I will also spend 10 minutes watching half a new video on how to build backlinks to a brand new blog.
This is how it works out for me in my daily routine.
Tip 2. Refine Search Queries.
When it comes to finding answers or content online, there are many ways we can go about doing it.
Refining my search queries is one of the techniques that would save my nerves and energy from surfing useless stuff.
➡️I take 30 seconds to think over my query, then formulate and type it down in a browser. For example, I’ve been recently interested in “Tips to increase my blog’s rankings on Google on my own”. In most cases, search engines are “sharpened” to give out only relevant information.
Such snippets give an overview of popular and authoritative websites or videos with keywords answering your queries for further analysis.
➡️I also use PAA prompts looking for another keyword or a synonym that would distil my searches: “tips for boosting your blog on top Google search 2021″ vs “SEO tools to rank a blog in 2021“.
Most likely, you will only focus on the necessary materials without being distracted by other topics.
Tip 3. Organize Information In One Folder.
Remember that you are still interested in a specified query. In my case, it’s about “tips for boosting your blog on top Google search 2021”. The table represents one of the methods to classify any information I’m looking for and going to work with.
There are some tips on how to use this table:
- Take the first 10 links from the search engine and “scan” them for the information you need.
- Take notes if necessary.
- Filter out those sources that do not fully answer at least one of your requests.
- Group by subtopics, for example:
- SEO tools to rank a blog in 2021;
- Free techniques to rank a blog.
- Then analyze them according to the criteria (given below) and work with those that best match the topic of your interest.
Tip 4. Use The Criteria To Analyze Content.

Not to get lost and frustrated while surfing for answers, I started to learn how to collect, organize and sift information through some criteria. When scanning any article, my eyes tend to catch some highlights, and my brain tries to figure out whether it’s worth reading.
🚩So, visualization is the word that comes in handy to explain what this decision depends on after all.
🚩The next indicator, which I would call depth and scope of coverage, is all about whether an Internet article, a blog post or a video answer your questions as fully as possible. I would ask myself the following ones:
- Is the information there relevant to my search queries?
- Does this source provide me with tips and guidelines that work?
- Would I trust this material and the author?
🚩Moreover, beautiful images, infographics with data should have a clear, logical and easy-to-comprehend style. It also means that any information on a website contains unbiased opinions, facts, latest figures and is verified and supported by links to well-known and authoritative sources.
Tip 5. Stay Tuned For The News.
I’ve been educating myself on the basics of SEO for a year. To find relevant good quality content, I used the tactics mentioned above, then subscribed to expert YouTube channels, SEO blogs, theme groups on social media. There are a few of them, but this helps me get the hot and latest news on the area of my interest.
By watching videos,
listening to niche podcasts regularly,
you will be aware of new products, services and how-to-do techniques,
which will enable you to effortlessly adapt yourself to new environments and stay at the top of your gameenglishwithpolina.com
I believe that with our minds focused on creativity instead of anxiety or frustration, we can find time to achieve whatever we set out to do. It doesn’t matter whether it is about prioritizing our day for the things that will bring you some value at first or making it in mastering new skills – even if only ten minutes a day.
These are the steps that will help you stay focused on what matters to you while searching for the best answer to your tasks:
- Take 10 minutes to scribble your thoughts on paper;
- Refine your search intent;
- Organize everything in one folder;
- Use criteria to distil your findings;
- Stay tuned for the news.
